An experienced and well rounded Telecommunications professional, Al has direct experience in various capacities including: technologist, engineer, and manager in telco and cellular throughout Western Canada and the far north.  Al has also worked closely with the Oil & Gas industry penetrating remote areas and working to establish and extend telecom networks.

More specifically, Al held the position of Operations Manager for NMI & Bell Mobility where his main responsibility was ensuring the functioning of the cellular network in Northern Canada.  Other duties included running capital projects and working with larger customers (EnCana, PennWest and others).  Additionally, Al worked for Northwestel for a number of years in various capacities including Design & Implementation Manager and as a Transmission Engineer (this included Radio, Multiplex, and Data) and the Manager of Network Planning where his responsibilities included the design of the overall Network topology, as well as circuit design and fulfillment.
